Ensemble WIRO

Ensemble WIRO, a contemporary music ensemble was founded in 2015
by composer Mina Kang and Korean musicians who studied in France and Germany. Recognized for their high understanding and excellent interpretation of contemporary music, they have been actively collaborating with many Korean composers.

Ensemble WIRO has been steadily communicating with the audience through
self-projected performances to popularize contemporary music.
Through , a concert that combines various art fields with original music by Korean composers, regular concerts series that introduces contemporary music of different countries, and series, a concert to highlight a composer that inspires the ensemble.
Ensemble WIRO is trying to deliver contemporary music in an easy and fun way to the audience.

Ensemble Eins

Eins is a professional contemporary music ensemble of Flute, Oboe, Clarinet,
Piano, Violin, Viola, and Violoncello led by Composer/Art Director Myunghoon
Park. Each of the members are deeply attached to contemporary music and
have studied in Europe with rich backgrounds in various genres of
contemporary music. Eins ponders, enjoys, and introduces contemporary
music. For us, contemporary music is creations that reflect the
contemporary times with newness and empathy regardless of the time of
history. We hope to introduce new artistic creations to the contemporary
music of Korea to fulfill its needs and discover and support the innovative
creations of Korean composers for the development of creative music in Korea.

Ensemble Good-Mori

The pronunciation of "Good" in Korean is from Korean traditional shamanism ceremony and it also shares meaning of a favorable character in English. The meaning of "Mori" is Rhythm or Rush Forward in Korean. Good-mori group is focusing on discovering various Korean traditional music and contemporary Music for Korean traditional Instruments, experiencing and trying to make new tradition based on its own characteristic
Korean music. They are doing many concerts around Korea focusing on Modern Korean traditional music.

Ensemble in Residence, 2021

Ensemble 316

Ensemble 316 is a chamber orchestra consisting of musicians with in-depth experience
of studying and performing in the United States, Germany, France and Vienna.
Member musicians are engaged in a wide variety of activities such as performance,
creative research activity, and musical education.
Since its inception in 2011, Ensemble 316 has been holding concerts under the theme of
LOVE for diverse audiences, including the prison inmate, service man and woman in
military, seniors in nursing home, and kindergartens. Key messages of their concert are
that everyone should be able to equally enjoy and appreciate music and that music is vital
to the healthy culture.

Daegu Modern Ensemble

Founded in October 1998 with the goal of performing the repertoire written by contemporary composers, each year the Modern Ensemble chooses two or three Korean composers to feature on a program devoted to his or her music. In 2002, in cooperation with the Korean Society of Women Composers, the ME performed works written by women composers. The ME also held the invitation concert ‘Yeollim’. In 2001, the Six Critic Group awarded the Modern Ensemble the prize of the contemporary musicians. The group gave performances at Daegu International Contemporary Music Festival (DCMF), The East-Asian Contemporary Music Festival, New Music Festival 2011 in Hanyang University, and Korean Music Expo.

It also introduced Korean contemporary works during invited performances in China (Beijing, Yanji, and Shanxi) and RANDSPIELE Festival für zeitgenössische Musik in Germany. In 2017, the ensemble group had three concerts at the invitation of the Denver CKC Choir in the United States. In the same year, the ensemble performed a solo concert at the Korean Cultural Center in Berlin, Germany, and received the highest evaluation.
